The Lester B. Pearson Building is a large, multi-storey, irregularly shaped office complex consisting of four office towers, ranging in height from four to ten floors.

The building, located on Sussex Drive in Ottawa, was built from 1970 to 1973 and designed by the renowned architectural firm of Webb Zerafa Menkès.

It currently houses Global Affairs Canada and approximately 3,000 employees.

In 2017, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSAC) announced its rehabilitation with a budget of approximately $700M.

Ellisdon Corporation, a general contractor, contracted us as a specialty painting contractor to do the interior painting of the D Tower offices of this building.

We had a team of 10 painters on site to paint the walls, door and window frames, ceilings and columns in this 100,000 sq. ft. project. As for the floors, our epoxy coating experts applied the systems mentioned in the plans and specifications established by Dialog Ontario Architects.
In addition to painting several doors and steel frames, finishing work, such as the installation of wallpaper, wood panels and woodwork were done by our house painters who specialize in this type of work requiring meticulousness and precision. We also proceeded to the installation of a special wall covering, a mural of greenery.

Painting mandates in the institutional sector are often large-scale projects lasting several months, even years. At Brisson Peinture, we have the expertise and team depth to guarantee continuous quality throughout the project.

We have worked on many institutional projects such as hospitals, schools and government buildings. Our administrative team is therefore aware of the clerical requirements necessary to undertake these projects; we have all the certifications, insurance and secret security or reliability clearances required to meet them.
